- In this class we had a brief discussion about various types of colors Eg: warm colors, school colors and primary colors.
- Our teacher also talked about tints and tones.
- Tints are the one which you get by mixing of white
- Tones are derived by mixing of black
- As we had to work with poster colors and water colors our teacher made us aware about the limitation and pros of these colors Eg:limitation while using water color is that when we are using white pigment in any two shades it losses the transparency and it tends to become opaque whereas in poster colors we never get transparency.
- I also learnt that the colors that we use for painting, natural or synthetic, they don’t have adhesive quality, we tend to add some material which will act as the binding medium.
- We discussed about how in ancient times people used to use natural materials from plants a d animals to make paints and glue.
- For our class assignment we to take a image of our choice and make a color palet for the shades used in that photograph
- I found today’s class really interesting as I got to discover so many shades and tones.
