In today’s class, we were asked to get in objects like leaves and flowers to create nature studies.
Drawing natural forms from observation helped us engage a different style of drawing.
While last week we sketched linear objects, with flat surfaces and straight edges, this time we had to sketch more organic forms. Thus we had to move on from linear drawings and apply shading in order to create depth and give the softness required to depict flowers and leaves.
